Bowls
Whether a set or an individual bowl, I find the process of throwing, trimming and then designing the outer face of a bowl to be incredibly meditative. Most recently, I’ve been creating highly textured outside faces on my bowls, which creates a piece that both looks and feels stimulating.
Empty Bowls
In March of 2023, I was in charge of preparing over 300 bowls for a charity event with Carlisle Arts Learning Center and Project SHARE. Some of the bowls featured below were part of a collaborative effort, where I prepared the bowls and volunteers could come add designs. Between the making, glazing, and firing, I interacted with almost every single bowl to get it to the point of sale.
